EBC Performance Brakes

EBC Brakes Store
EBC Brakes: A world leader in braking technology, quality control, product performance, and customer service.

EBC Ultimax UPR Premium Replacement Rotors (OE Quality)

EBC Brakes 3GD Brake Rotor

Since not every customer wants slotted rotors, EBC Brakes has launched a massive range of OE replacement non slotted rotors. These form their new premium line of brake rotors and are all quality parts made from OE spec G3000 gray iron, precision machined, cross ground finished pad surface in many cases and inspected for runout to tolerances below one thousandth of an inch.

The EBC OE replacement rotors or UPR (Ultimax Plain Rotor) series as EBC calls them are a direct size for size replacement brake rotor made with quality grey iron as used by the OEM builders. These rotors are non slotted and are exact copies of the OEM designs.

There are two types of rotors fitted to today’s modern vehicles, the “Solid” and the “Vented” type brake rotor. Consumers often confuse vented rotors with drilled rotors but the fact is if your car is fitted with a vented rotor, you must replace it with the same vented rotor for it to fit and work correctly on your vehicle. The expression “vented”, merely refers to a rotor which has two separating braking faces separated by a “Vaned” core which serves to ventilate the rotor and improve cooling. Vented rotors are normally used on higher performance brake rotor placements and almost all modern cars feature vented rotors. Many cars still use rear brake rotors which are non vented but the EBC fitment guide will automatically pre-select the right design for you. EBC OEM replacement rotors are the ideal choice for general brake replacement for the daily or urban driver who merely wants to replace an aging braking system with quality parts.

Important Guidelines for Changing Brake Pads and Rotors

Always replace brake pads when replacing rotors. It is false economy to use worn or old pads on new rotors as they can cause hot spots and promote brake fade and more than double bed in time. Doing so is both dangerous and bad economics.
